Landscaping & Flower Beds in the Houston Area

Stone-edged beds, tree rings, mulch, plantings and artificial turf — the finishing work that makes a yard look done — in Houston and all around it.

A new-build yard in Cypress or Richmond usually gets handed over as bare dirt or a thin strip of sod, with no beds, edging or mulch to make it look like a finished property. Jose Bulnes fills that in — stone-edged flower beds cut in around the house and yard, tree rings at the base of shade trees, fresh mulch, new plantings, and artificial turf for the spots where a homeowner wants green without the upkeep of real grass.

Jbulnes Landscaping serves Houston, Katy, Cypress, Sugar Land and Richmond, bilingual in English and Spanish. Call or WhatsApp Jose at (346) 609-4851 for a cotización sin compromiso — a no-obligation quote.

What's included

The work starts with stone edging cut in a clean line around beds, borders and the base of trees, separating lawn from planting area so the yard reads as designed instead of just mowed. Fresh mulch goes down inside the beds and tree rings to hold moisture and finish the look, and plants get added to fill bare beds and soften borders along the house or fence line. In tight side yards or spots where grass struggles, artificial turf paired with flagstone or stepping stones gives a clean, green finish that doesn't need watering or mowing. Cleanups — clearing out old mulch, leaves and overgrowth before replanting — round out the work on established yards that have gotten away from a homeowner.

How we work

See the yard

Jose looks at what the yard has and what it's missing — bare dirt, no edging, thin or empty beds.

No-obligation quote

You get a no-obligation quote based on what the yard needs to look finished, in English or Spanish.

Edge and plant

Stone edging goes in, mulch gets laid down, and plants or turf are added where you want them.

Walk the finished yard

Jose walks the yard with you and shows the beds, edging and plantings now in place.

Landscaping & Flower Beds by city

A cedar fence in Katy, a side-yard walkway in Houston, new sod in Cypress and a French drain in Sugar Land each start with a different yard — and we handle all four.

Common questions

My yard is bare dirt from a new build. Can you fix that?
Yes — that's common work in Cypress and Richmond new-build lots. Beds, edging, mulch and plantings get added so the yard looks like a finished property instead of a builder lot.
What is a tree ring and why would I want one?
It's a bordered, mulched circle cut in around the base of a tree. It keeps mowers and trimmers away from the trunk and gives the yard a finished, intentional look. It's about the ring itself — Jose does not do tree removal or trimming.
Is artificial turf a good fit for a narrow side yard?
Often, yes. Narrow side yards and shaded spots where real grass struggles are common places for artificial turf, usually paired with flagstone or stepping stones for a finished path through the space.
Do you handle regular lawn mowing or yard maintenance?
No — this service covers beds, edging, mulch, plantings and artificial turf, not routine mowing. Ask Jose about what he does cover for the ongoing care of a new bed or turf area.
